A minor issue compared to how much you gain. The only thing missing in SteerMouse is the ability to check the battery level. You can adjust the sensitivity, acceleration, and DPI so it's exactly how you want it. You will gain a lot of functionality that is missing from Logitech's software, including the ability to turn any of the extra buttons into generic mouse buttons. Make sure you select "Logitech 602" NOT the "USB Receivers" in the device list. One for the keyboard functionality (which is how it sends keystrokes if you configure the buttons that way), and one for the mouse. By the way, I used CleanMyMac to uninstall the application and preference panes, since Logitech drizzle them all over your. If you are using Karabiner Elements, make sure you go to the Devices tab, and uncheck the Logitech receivers corresponding to your G602, or else Karabiner will interfere with SteerMouse. I just got it working with the Mx Anywhere 2s mouse without rebooting (), by first uninstalling: Logitech Control Center Logitech Options Logitech Unifying Software And afterwards installing only Logitech Options again. Uninstall Logitech Gaming Software, and reboot. Use LGS to switch the G602 from using onboard memory to using software profiles. If your mouse is not detected by LGS after rebooting, create a new Administrative account on your Mac, login under that account, and it should work. Uninstall any other Logitech software you tried. Download the current version from the Logitech support page for the G602. For the G602 you need Logitech Gaming Software (hereafter referred to as LGS).

To change to software profile mode, you need a working Logitech driver for Catalina.ĭON'T use G Hub or Logitech Control Center. If your G602 is NOT using onboard memory, skip these steps. Your G602 must be configured to use software profiles, NOT the onboard memory of the G602. My solution to gain back full control of my G602 on Mac Catalina was to use SteerMouse.
